Frequently asked questions

Straight answers before you get started.

The practical details about pricing, ownership, domains, timings and what ongoing care actually includes.

Ask a different question
What kind of websites do you build?

The standard service is for professional brochure websites: business information, services, galleries, menus, contact details, maps, enquiry forms and links to existing booking tools. Online shops, live inventory and complex web applications are outside the standard build and need a separate quote.

How much does a website cost?

The standard website build is £495. Domain registration, unusually large content requirements and functionality outside the standard scope are priced separately and agreed with you before work begins.

How long does a website take?

A straightforward small-business website will usually take around two to four weeks once the required text, images and business details are available. Your proposal will confirm the expected schedule for your project.

What do you need from me?

Usually your logo, preferred colours, business details, opening hours, services or menus, contact information and the best photographs you have. I will help organise that material into a clear website rather than expecting you to plan every page yourself.

Who owns the website and domain?

Your domain should be registered in your business's name. Ownership and handover of the finished website are stated clearly in your project proposal; third-party software, fonts, images and services remain subject to their own licences.

Can you arrange and connect my domain?

Yes. I can help purchase or connect the domain and handle the technical setup. The domain cost is separate from the website-build price and, wherever practical, the registration will be held in your business's name.

What does monthly Website Care include?

Website Care covers managed hosting, SSL, monitoring, security and dependency updates, version restoration and faults within the existing agreed website. Care Plus adds up to 30 minutes of small content changes each month.

Can you connect an existing booking system?

Yes. The website can link to or embed many existing booking and reservation services. Building an entirely new booking system or another complex backend is a separate project and would be quoted independently.
